More on 4657, Please

Can someone tell me where the date info is that was discussed last night? I have looked closely at the pump I've rebuilt for my 63 and I see nothing on any piece except the stamped 4657. Well, of course there is AC and made in the USA, but no other numbers or stamp marks.

Wayne, right above one of the fittings there is a round blind hole. At the bottom of the hole is the date. Typicaly a two digit number. For example my 63 has a 62 dated pump on it. Hard to read though on the car. It's in the round hole. You will see slashes around the date. The slashes though are supposed to signify the month of production but that info is still up in the air.
If your pump is just stamped with 4657 without any suffix after the number most likely its the real deal for a 63. Did you go onto VH's??? You should though as there are probably are at least 50 pics of pumps there.

Hey Jorjorian (RJ) Put on a nice pic of the pumps for Wayne here. Or maybe Verne can do it for sure also. Verne put dozens of nice pics of various 4657's on VH's. So did a lot of other guys. RJ put on some pics of NOS pumps, etc.
Verne was a true asset to the pump info. So many variations of 4657 pumps. Hard to find two alike.
Does your pump have the correct top to it? The one without the frog pads on it? Start with the July 7th on posts on VH's to learn all the details. Forget the earlier posts though. John
