    Carb part number help please

    A friend of mine has a very original numbers matching 1972 350 with 200 hp and an automatic trans. The black book list the correct carb as a Rochester 7042202. The car has a Rochester 7042205 in it. My friend was curious what that carb might be from. I tried a google search and got no results. Thought someone here might have the answer. Thanks in advance for the assistance.

      7042205 does not show up in my delco rochester carb parts/specs catalog

          There never was a GM #7042205 carburetor part number used in PRODUCTION for any Chevrolet car or truck and since that number would be, if it ever existed, a Rochester carb for a Chevrolet application, that lets out any other GM car line usage. So, if the number actually is 7042205, then I'd say it's some sort of SERVICE-only carburetor.
