I am looking to purchase a 65 coupe with disc brake delete????,but without looking at the frame numbers, can I find out if this car really has a 64 frame, because there is no indent below the motor and the frame does not have the small extra supports by the rear kick-up of the others I've looked at Its a march production car 114815 any help would be appreciated
Check the rear frame rails for notched out areas for disc brake caliper clearance. This would be right above where the caliper is located. The frame is notched for full rebound of the suspension.
I think you have answered your own question, if the front crossmember is not notched for damper clearance and there are no notches in the rear raiols for the calipers, then it's a '64 frame
You do know in 65 when you got a car with drum brakes it was on a 65 frame, not on a 64 frame. If this car has a 64 frame,it is not just a drum brake 65, it is also a wrong frame 65!!
