Terry,The 61-62 JM agrees with what I have been doing on FI restos.(applies to you also) 61 and 62 used the wire clamp. Quote from that manual: "All distributors are retained to the intake manifold with a bolt passing through a 1/8" thick formed steel retainer which in turn secures a clamp made of 1/8" thick rounded steel." Long explanation which which means wire clamp. They don't say what logo the bolt is though. Maybe someone will chirp in with a list of say 3 or so logos. I have seen UR's, etc. Be nice if the gang would voice their opinion on the retaining bolt.
On the FI restos which I do I guess that I have covered this detail correctly.
57 to 60 use the one piece stamped steel retainer and 61 thru 65 use the wire type. Hint: you have to read the JM carefully on this detail. Page 58 of the 5th edition. John- Top
