    Distributor RFI Two Piece SHIELD

    I have a 1974 L48 4 Speed Convertible. Should this car have come from the factory with a two piece RFI shield inside of the distributor? If so does anyone make an original or reproduction replacement?

      From your copy of the NCRS '73-74 Judging Guide:

      "A Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) shield covers the points inside the distributor. It is visible when the point adjusting door in the distributor cap is lifted...."

      NOS shield kits are listed by various Corvette parts catalog houses. My copy of the Chicago Corvette catalog cites their PN C2503, 70-74, Shield Kit at $44.95. But, you need to confirm current availability & pricing...
