    Boston Query & Lament

The older NCRS events seemed to have more of an attraction in the displays and personalities. I miss Zora, Shinoda and the others that were guests. I know they are gone, but are there any special guests in Boston? And are there any unusual Corvettes. My late friend Roby may have owned an expensive Black 1967 435, but seeing the Grand Sports chassis naked or a LeMans racer or whatever is more exciting than that, at least for me.

Also I plan on being in Vermont this coming weekend, does the road tour go thru Bennington? Down the hill by Hemmings?

'Yes' on the visit to Bennington Geoffrey, should be an early or mid afternoon stop at Hemmings on Saturday.

      Re: Boston Query & Lament

Dr. When NCRS had a national at Seven Springs in the early 90's I personally was in charge of Zora and his wife. Got in trouble over them also if I recall. He was in frail health then but a joy to be with. He called me "Gregory". Anyhow one day for lunch I was standing near him to make sure he was satisfied as I was one of two guys in charge of the food for the event. Anyhow Zora said to me, Hey Gregory I have to go to the mens room. Not his exact words. So I said Mr. Duntov just hold my arm cause there are about two hundred people outside the door with Corvette parts waiting to have your John Henry. He gave me a big smile. So when he got outside the hall the guys started swarming all over him. I said real loud. Guys Zora has to use the mens room first and then he has to eat his lunch. But Zora ignored me and stood in the hall for about an hour signing every kind of Corvette part you could imagine. Remember it like yesterday. Have a ton of stories about him but this is not the place. Sorry. John
