1965 Headrests ???

The option sheet for the 1965 model year does not specify headrests as an option, however, they ( '65 headrests ) are offered by many suppliers. What's the story on these ??? Were they dealer installed in 1965, or perhaps were offered as a late introduction into the option list. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Suppliers offer lots of things that weren't "correct" for a given year, as many folks like to personalize their cars. The seat back frames were essentially the same from '65-'67 (except for the seat back lock), so the headrest conversion parts will work for all three years.
