C2 resistance

I have a 66 that I like to push outside of the garage before i start it, Also has Bias ply tires. The problem is it pushes very hard,Has a lot of drag The parking brake is set correctly and does not interfear, the wheel bearings are adjust correctly. Is this normall or does something else need to be adjusted or fixed.

This is common for these disk brake cars.

Should not be. Check your parking brake or your brake calipers. My 67 is the opposite, will roll on any slight grade even with the parking brake on.

But I need to redo the parking brake pads and assembly.

Do you have the o-ring style pistons in your calipers? If so, these tend to have more rolling resistance than the lip seal variety.

My 66 had basically the same issue and it turned out to be the master cylinder. It rolls just fine now with a new one.

Paul,

I'd jack one wheel at a time to check its resistance both before and after applying brake pedal. This show tell you if it is a particular wheel or wheels.
