    Glass Price Shock

Got quote today from OEM Glass for my '65 Roadster --I must admit I was stunned. I've kept up with pricing on most restoration commodities, but I was really unprepared for the prospect of paying $2000.

Question for you out there: are there any other reputable other ?? (the restoration is to Top Flite standards.) Or does Dale enjoy the pricing position of being the only game in town?

I just got some vent windows yesterday from ALL AUTO GLass. They look excellent, and about half the price of OEM. Look on the website, or I can find you the 800 number if you need.

I searched for the All Auto Glass website and couldn't find it. I too am in need of some vent window glass for my 67 roadster. Any help would be appreciated with either the website URL or their 800 number.

      Thanks,

      Bryan

          Auto City Classic

Yes, it was actually Auto City Classic. They are somehow affiliated w. all auto glass, and do all of their antiques now. They even gave me a small discount for my telling them I saw them on the internet. I would definitely give them the rest of my glass business.

            Dear Joel,

Look in the yellow pages for an autglass company that does vin etching. It is very simple...they make a simple stencil with the "JC" dates etc. You place it in the correct area of the logo. They then use acid paste then sits over the stencil/glass for a minute. They wipe it off and you have replicated the factory sandblasting with acid!
