What are your recommedations for a galss bead cabinet for a hobbyist / home use? It needs to be large enough to put a wheel or typical chassis parts in. Please.......................no Chinese..................no, make that NO FOREIGN made units. As always, thanks for your input.
I agree...TP. Specification of USA manufacture makes TP the easy answer. They are not cheap, but they are professional quality.
Look at their Model 960; it'll handle a wheel or a big block radiator support, but you'll have to work them around to get all the surface. It'll set you back about $1000, but TP continues to sell any parts you need to repair their equipment...you won't have to worry about Chinese parts not being available.
Rex,
I agree with Dick and Chuck. I got a Tip 960 on Ebay at a pretty good discount - scratch and dent sale item by Tip. Unit was new without a mark on it when I got it.
I have to agree with Dick, Chuck and Pete...the TP 960 is the ticket. I picked one up this past spring and it does the job. I upgraded mine with foot pedal which is a big help along with the HEPA filter. I asked why they don't make the unit with the HEPA installed but it's so they can keep the price down. the HEPA filters the unit and minimizes the dust floating around your shop.
You'll find you can pick up lots of other options for less $ but than they probably will not be able to do the mission you described above.
I agree on the foot pedal and the HEPA kit. The best exhaust option is to vent the vacuum exhaust outside the shop; if you can't do that, then get the dust collector bag for the exhaust...I get no dust into my garage.
Rex, Bought mine from them an eon ago and never had a bit of problem. AT the Carlisle shows you can typically get a good deal from them as they have a huge display. Nice people to deal with. John
