    C3 fuel tank separator assy

The separator assy on my 71 LS5 seems to have developed a crack along with a nice leak. Part number on the unit is 7028035. Doesn't show up on GM parts direct. Will NAPA carry a suitable replacment? Thanks,

    Tom

    Tom-----

The GM piece is long-since discontinued. I don't think you'll find one at NAPA or any other auto parts supply. However, a reproduction has come on the market recently. I would think that the Corvette parts vendors would have it or will have it soon.

      Thanks Joe.

I knew it would turn into a question for the board when my normal sources didn't have a listing for one.

        If this is the part

then you will find it at Zip and maybe others. This item is only recently in reproduction.

Looks like the URL is too long. Here is the part number and description:
          70-74 TANK VAPOR SEPARATOR
          Product Number: GT-380

If you want my thread to take you there, right click on the URL and copy the whole thing into your internet browser.

              Kelly,

It mounts on the upper left side of the fuel tank. Two hoses attach to it, one goes to the top of the fuel tank and the other goes to the metal line on the frame that leads to the charcoal canister.
