Does anyone know which if any vendors at Corvettes at Carlisle that will reupholster your seats while you are at the grounds? I know I have seen this every year but never gave it any thought. I need to get two sets done and was wondering how many companies might be there that can do this. Thanks, Craig

Re: corvettes @carlisle vendor question
Al Knoch is there every year and I always see him doing interiors and convertible tops. I would guess that if you call him in advance you can still find a spot.
his web site is http://www.alknochinteriors.com/welcome.htm
I bought a 66 carpet set from him and it fit quite well. the fit was perfect.

Re: corvettes @carlisle vendor question
Craig,
This close to Carlisle they may already be booked. I had mine done at the April Carlisle show but I had ordered and scheduled them in February. When I was there in April the Corvette show was already booked for soft top installations! They did a great job and Dale, their manager, was a pleasure to deal with. Gooid luck, I hope you can get them done, it sure beats shipping everything to Texas.

Re: corvettes @carlisle vendor question
Craig,
I had Al Knoch install my soft top this year at Bloomington. The guy doing the work has been doing Corvette soft tops for 20 year for Al Knoch. The work was top notch and it looks and fits fantastic! As someone said, Dale their manager is great to work with and will treat you right. I made my reservation back in November of 2006 for this year. You may be too late for the August show, but you could always ship them to them, that's what I did. They did my seats back in February of 2004 and they came out looke like brand new and scored very high in the originality catagory when I had the car flight judged. Give them a call at 1-800-880-8080 and ask for Dale.

Re: corvettes @carlisle vendor question
They did my seat covers at the spring Carlisle. I had them glassbeaded and painted and all ready for the springs, pads and covers when I got there. I work about 15 minutes away so I brought them right to his tent on Wednesday and picked them up Saturday. I had shipped the upper door trim and dash panel earlier in the year but thsy brought those finished parts with them to Carlisle along with my carpets, door panels and kick panels. Re: corvettes @carlisle vendor question
Craig, Al Knoch did my seats at Corvette Carlisle a while back for sure. Did a wonderful job. But I had made prior arrangments and was first on their long list. You could just drop your seats off at the show and therefore have them check them out for you. I find that personal contact is much better than a faceless name from shippping. You would be surprised what they can point out to you in a second or two. They are right next to Corvette World on one side and Vette Productions of MI on the other side. I believe that's the old J row. Concession stand next to them also. They have a lot of cast iron lawn crap for sale also. Crap is a bad word though. Decorations is a much nicer term. Al gets off on that stuff I heard. I'm around the corner in the L90's. Everyone is welcome to stop for a cold drink. Just ask. John D.- Top

Re: corvettes @carlisle vendor question
Hi Craig,
Another option is bring your set frames to the event and let them take them back to Texas to recover them. I have done this in the past and it worked out well. As others have said, call Dale. He is a great guy.
