    '60 aluminum heads questions

    Hi all,
I've read that the casting number for the '60 aluminum heads is 3772894, and that these heads have two pipe plug fittings on the exhaust side of each head.
I have located a set of 3772895 aluminum heads dated 6 4 59 that do not have the pipe plugs.
What are these? Early prototypes for the Vette, other GM product?
    Thanks,
    george

    Re: '60 aluminum heads questions

Those (3772895) are the 60 aluminum heads that were cast at GIF or Grey Iron Foundry and intended for use in the production cars. I belive the other with the pipe plugs were the first cast in Italy and prototypes. I have a set of the ones you have located and they have no pipe plugs cast in. Do yours look like the the pic of mine? GL
