    65 Glove Box Door

While I was up at the National I took something out of my Glove Box and closed it gingerly (( as I always do ) only to have my Vette emblem fall to the floor. Tried to push it back in to no avail - in looking at it it seems to have remnents of some type of glue on the largest width ends. Can anyone out there tell me if they have had the same problem and what they used to correct it? Appreciate your help, dont want to foul up the finish on my door. Thanks.

Ed: your door has been "restored", but it's not a problem to fix. What you want to use is some clear silicone to reattach it. Apply it sparingly around the base of the emblem posts, but only where you have the most surface area. Don't want any squeeze-out to show.

Secure with masking tape until cured. If you do have any silicone that's visible, scribe it close to the emblem with a pointed X-acto, and peel off the excess.
