Hi All, Can anyone tell me what the point deduction would be at a regional and national level for having correctly added head rests to seats on a '67 Corvette that has an exception code that states it did not come with them? Thanks, Rick

Re: 1967 Corvette with Head Rest Seats
The Flight Score Sheet assigns 24 originality points and 16 condition points to seat backs & trim. That's a total of 40 points.
The Judging Reference Manual (Standard Deductions) provides a rule for a COMPLETE deduction regarding dealer/owner inspired option addition/deletion. So, I'd say you should expect a 40-point scoring loss which equates to 40/4500 or .8 precent.- Top

Re: 1967 Corvette with Head Rest Seats
From the ECL suffix on the trim code on the trim tag (unless it's an A.O. Smith body [no ECL suffixes on A.O. Smith trim tags] or a St. Louis body with a black interior - no ECL suffixes on black trim codes). If it's an A.O. Smith body or a St. Louis body with a black interior, there are no "clues".- Top

Re: 1967 Corvette with Head Rest Seats
I have a '67 with standard black trim and factory headrests. I don't see any ECL codes on the trim tag below. Can someone tell me what the "467" and the "S9319" stand for? Thanks PT

In your case there is no ECL for the trim. STD stands for black vinyl interior. 984AA is a paint code for Sunfire Yellow- Top

Re: 1967 Corvette with Head Rest Seats
Devils advocate: What if you yank the headrest out and take the bezel off just before judging. Then you just have a seat back with a split in the cover. Shouldnt be worth over 5 or 6 points. You can make a bubba repair, and use some duct tape on the split.- Top

Re: 1967 Corvette with Head Rest Seats
I have a St. Louis Built 435 car... It's Maroon with a Saddle interior and the ECL does list w/o headrests. Is it true what was stated here in the responces that taking the headrests out would result in only a deduction for the hole in the seat back? I could certinally live with 5 or 6 points for the holes over the 40 points with the rests installed during judging.Rick Jones
