    Right/Left Hand Definition

Looking for clarification on the meaning of right hand and left hand in the Judging Manual. On page 21 of the 67 manual it states for ground strap that it is mounted on the left side only. The instructions from Lectric Limited state RH engine mount. I will follow the Judging Manual but is left side considered the drivers side?

    Thanks,
    Rick

is left side considered the drivers side?

      yes...

Left and right hand side of the car are the same as for the driver when seated behind the wheel.

Another trivia is a part number ending in a even number= (2-4-6-8-0) is used on the right side of a Corvette and odd (1-3-5-7-9-) on the left side, unless the part can be used on ether side ( like valve covers) nice to know when your buying a part and dont know if it's a right or left part

Learned something new today. The way I'm going to keep that straight is that the cylinders are numbered the same. Thanks Roy

Well almost, but not all of the time. For instance the 65 inside door pull is odd even, left and right, but this pull is also used on C3s, 69-76 or so, but the sides changed. So the left is even and right is odd.

Roy, I hate to disagree with you but that's not what Engineering did when we
issued part numbers. I worked in the department for a short time , at
Chevrolet Engineering, that issued the numbers to Drafting, Specifications
and the Engineers and we did NOT have a policy that lefts were even and
rights were odd numbered. Yes that's the way it worked out MOST if the time,
but it wasn't something that we did intentionally.

I agree with Art. On a 63 the horns are reversed.
