1963 AFB date codes

i,m having a little trouble with date codes on 3460 and 3461 AFB carbs, the 1962 judging manual makes those clear, BA2 = 2nd revision, january, 1962 , is 1963 the same, my 4th edition 63, 64 manual doesnt spell it out, to further muddle the picture i dug out some of my 63 carbs and the stamping are as follows AA3 CD3 CB3 AB3 BK2 BC3 KD2 the only conclusion i can come up with is one of the 2s is an incorrect restamp, can anyone shed some light for me, thanks cary

Cary, if memory serves me right,first letter is month next is week and year is the number.I can't explaine the BK2 date code. if this is incorrect,please someone correct me so as to archive correct information. FWIW--- jim

It is my understanding that the first letter B is the production shift with B being second shift, the next letter is the month K being November and the number 2 being the year 1962.
Can someone confirm this?
