    Re: don't want to forget

    Joe,

It was for sure the funniest take off I've ever seen on NCRS judging...and the most "X" rated part of the entire skit was the "magnetic" personality of the performer...that's why he judged Corvettes...because of his "magnetic" personality...if he judged metal body cars, his face would be stuck to the hood...or any other part of the car...

Doc, do you remember Dennis and Gina do the "10" ? I got down in the floor and rolled laughing when they did that skit the first time.

Ah -- that was the Bend convention in the early '90s, I think. They were doing the aligator. I wasn't sure who would die first -- them or the audiance.

          Those were the days.

              Re: don't want to forget

Dr. Mike, Dennis story. Remember the National at Warren in early 90's. A lot of guys and girls went to the Flint Engine plant for a tour. AT the plant they talked to the engine stamper guy (who you later had at ur farm) Anyhow the assembly line work was asked all kind of NCRS questions about pads. Someone asked him what he did if he made a mistake. He said he just reached for the die grinder hanging from his right hip and ground the numbers back off. Said he had been stamping Flint engines for over 35 years. Well eyebrows went up in the group for sure. WHen he goofed he just ground the damn thing off and hit it again he said.
So later at a Judging seminar Dennis stood up in front of the audience and made the funniest but driest speech. He said I suppose all you AH NCRS guys that went to Flint are now convinced that you can take a welder and work over your pads and think they are going to fly. Well it just ain't gonna happen that way. Who remembers that funny speech. It was hard to hear the rest because guys wouldn't stop laughing.
