    Glove box door adjustment???

What is the secret to adjusting the glove box door on a C2 Corvette? My original 64 door just pops open when I depress the lock button. However, when I depress the button on my restored 67.............it just sits there until I take a small utensil and gently pull on the edge of the door until it opens. I've tried adjusting the small bracket on the glove box frame, but no luck. As always, your help is appreciated.

You've got the spring install incorrectly on the 67. There is no specific adjustment. Assemble it correctly and it'll work fine. Look closely at your 64 and duplicate the assy on your 67.

      Steve,
Which spring are you referring to? I did notice that the rubber bumpers are missing from the frame. I thought that might contribute to my problem.

      Thanks,
      Rex

There is a spring at the bottom of the door. Look under the door when it is closed. There should be a spring that has a screw in it that is attached to support bar. Hope that helps.

OK..........................now we have a properly functioning glove box door. I guess my bifocals weren't tuned in to see that I had not put the screw in the spring.

          Thanks guys.
