I have been trying to locate a RH vertical bonding strip for my 66. I believe I am going to have to resort to reproduction. How do the repo's compare to the originals? Or, does anyone have any suggestions on where I might find one?
I dont think I would loose any sleep over a bonding strip, especially back there. Even a so called OE one from GM parts might not be assembly line correct. Some were supplied in SMC materials and wrong colors. So aftermarket bonding strips can be just about as good and in some cases be closer to original colors. A 66 will usually range from light gray to black depending on the time of production.
