covertible top installation question?

Yay, I finally got my 64 vert on the ground after painting it myself. I now have to put the new Ed knoch convertible top. I was wondering if I can do it or should I have it professionally done? It needs all weatherstriping redone (I have a kit). Does anyone have any good instructions for top replacement. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

Hi Charlie,
Al Knoch has an excellent installation video for the 1963-67 convertible tops. They are a little time comsuming to install but not that difficult. Keep in mind that they will shrink so don't try to get it super tight at installion.

Al Knoch Interiors will be at Carlisle this month. They are most likely booked for convertible top installations, however a phone call to them will get a reservation if they have any left. Make sure you have your receipt for your top.

i did my own once with a local guy who had done it many times before, it didn't come out right and i fianlly had if removed and had a pro do it. do yourself a favor and get a pro for this one time job
