I am looking for a trustworthy, reasonable, and knowledgeable shop to help me finish the restoration of my 66 conv. The body is stripped to primer, with the interior mostly out and will be off the frame. It needs a new taillamp panel (which I have) some cosmetics and refinishing. North and South Carolina just about limits my travel area. Does anyone have recommendations or positive experiences they would share?

Re: 1966 Body restoration
Kevin,
I leave in the Charlotte area and I have a 67 corvette. When I purchased my vette it had front and rear fender flares. I thought about having a body shop replace my fenders but I did not trust any of the local shops. So I decided to replace them myself. I had never done any fliberglass work before I started cutting the fenders. After a lot of research and 6 months, my fenders were like they were when it left the factory. You may want to try replacing the tail light panel yourself. You will be surprised how much you can do. It is not as hard as everyone says.
