    Seeking some advice......

Hi, im trying to obtain some direction as to what i should do next in climbing the "ladder" in ncrs... i have a 89'vette that has received top flight honors at my local judging meet in tulsa okl. .. i live 2 hrs from tulsa so i dont make hardly any meetings, thus my questions on here,, I would like to know what i should do next/??? do i go for another top flight at a regional? or do a performace verification? or at what point do i look at the national next year that will be only 5 hrs from me and plan on doing what there?? how many top flight blue ribbons does one try to get?? local, regional, then national? then what?,, i just need some simple guidelines to point me down the right way?, if i say i was going to the regional meet in waco this fall and go for top flight there is that a smart move or go performance verification?? see i dont know what to do,, please help this rookie!! thanks doug

Purchase a copy of the NCRS judging manual from this website as well as one that is specific for your car. All the levels of awards and requirements are explained in that manual. The details for your car are explained in the car specific manual

Doug, I guess the first question to ask is "what are my goals?" If the McClellan Award is your goal you will need to get a Regional Top Flight with a 97% or better without driving points, get the PV, and then bring it to the National for Flight Judging and obtain a 97% or better there. If you are just doing this for personal self satisfaction, I would at least try for a Regional Top Flight and a PV.

I meant to add before I hit the send button, was that you could go to Waco and either get your Regional 97+ or your PV, go to either Florida or Chattanoga for the other and then back to the National for your McClellan if that is the level of award that you seek

            Doug 44087, come on down!

            Doug,
As you mentioned in your posting and as Dickie suggested, come on down to Waco for the Lone Star Regional in October. Rego form is in the Driveline or at the Texas Chapter website, www.ncrstexas.org.

            Best regards,
            Charlie

                Doug,
Welcome to the NCRS and our family of wonderful people. If you want to get away in January, come on down to the Florida Chapter sponsered Winter Regional Meet in Kissimmee, FL. We have, as many will support, the largest swap meet of any NCRS event. We also entertain many owners with excellent judging of their Corvettes. If you're married and have kids, bring them along since the meet is minutes from Disney World and lots of other attractions. Hope to see you there.
                Regards,
