    WHERE VAROOOM WAS

I just finished reading the thread about "where is Varooom?". Up to no good? Shacked up? Looking for dinner in the woods? Trying for road kill? Drunk in the floor? Who need enimies when I got "friends" like you guys! Gee, I go off to judge Corvettes and look what happens. I guess a laptop is indicated with a cell phone so I can defend myself at all hours of the day and night. What are ya gonna do when Bloomington rolls around? How about NCRS Nationals? I move that discussion board be shut down for Nationals. eBay too! What the hey!

You keyboard addicted nerds missed a great Regional at Mars, Pa. VERY well run meet. Drinks were GREAT! Lap dances couldn't be beat! Music was a tad too loud. Some very nice Corvettes also.

Next time I travel I'll check in with Jer every morning so he can dispell the run-away abuse before it gets out of hand! Tommorrow's Friday. I gotta get some rest and loosen-up for the off-the-wall thread that'll start.

    Reverend Varooom!

          I'm Losing It!

Did you say, "Hi. I'm Motorman?" I think not because I'd have jumped on that and we'd have had a chat about discussion board. I truly don't remember! Am I nuts? like they say?

I REALLY have grown close to all my chums on the board and am looking forward to chatting at length wherever! What a bummer it is to have met you and not know about it. PLEASE accept my apology. Why didn't you slap me over the head with a newspaper or something to get my attention? I'm deaf as a gourd! Maybe that was the problem. Once, at a meet at Carlisle, someone said, "your vette is siphoning gas out the overflow tube and it's a hell of a mess with a lot of people smoking!" I replied, "Thank you very much", lit up a cigar, and continued talking with a friend. Only after he asked me if I heard what the other gentleman said did I come to understand the emergency and take action.

I'm someday gonna get a couple of new hearing aids when I sell another car. Being deaf dosen't bother me at all but it drives everyone else nuts!

          Rev Varooom!

Only one salvageable part on da '62....

is da Doug Nash 5 speed. I should pick up da 62 just for the tranny and keep it as a spare in case mine should ever break behind the Godzilla Big Block.

I wonder if the Doug Nash can stand ALL the mammoth torque this monster's about to pound to the pavement. As the blind man said to his deaf wife "We shall see what we shall see".

I have 3:55's, that should put the 1-4 gears in the 5:13 range....hmmmm....micey, micey, come out and play with the big bad rat....

                  I Won't Take The Bait

Your post is very interesting Mr. Big Block George. Thank you for sharing your opinion regarding transmissions. Our organization promotes the restoration, preservation and enjoyment of Corvettes. Our unique and highly sought-after Technical Information Manual and Judging Guide for 1962 lists the Borg-Warner T-10 as the transmission typical of factory production in 1962.

                    He Won't Take Da' Bait

                    Big Block Geroge,

Tell you what I am thinking; I am thinking that Wilfred Buzzby (of Memphis, address unknown), ace Nash tranny rebuilder extraordinaire, is none other than one mulitple personality of one Dale Pearman, aka Varooom, et al. The commuting to keep up appearances in Memphis must be heck for him; probably how he is able to put so many miles on an old Corvette.

What was his painter's name; he's probably another such manifestation. Whut do yew think, Big Block?

                      Yep, ah think yer right.....

ol Wilfred..er...Dale...er Varoooomsky, changes personalities in hopes of unloading his 300 LB mama, Beulah Butt of da famous Butt sisters. Notice in Varooomsky's earlier post he said Wilfred's ol' lady done run off with da milkman? Mebe it's wishfull thinkin?

Yo, Varoooomsky, if yer readin' dis here post, seems to me ye were spoutin' a while back 'bout dat Doug Nash in yer 62. Now ya sayin ya ain't got one. Gittin' more and more confusin', and gittin' to a point not knowin whom to believe no mo.

                        YOU ARE WRONG!

No Mr. Big Block George, I do not work on transmissions nor do I paint. If I pursued either activity for a profit I wound not mention it on the NCRS Discussion Board since the NCRS is a non-commercial, non profit organization of individuals devoted to the restoratrion, preservation and enjoyment of Corvettes. I do in fact use a Doug Nash 5 speed street transmission in my 1962 Corvette but the "official" NCRS transmission for a 62 would be the Borg Warner T-10. The T-10 helps us restore, preserve and enjoy our Corvettes.

Restoration and enjoyment of rules & regulations..

that's a good'n, enjoyment of rules and regulations. Looky here, Rule #1, every event must have brats, kraut, and a keg of brewsky Rule #2, every event all brats, kraut, and brewsky must be consumed Regulation #1, only three belches per 10 minute intervals Regulation #2, must have fun, and tell some funnies, when the women get out of hearing range, then tell the good un's. Rule #3, must keep the flatulation to a minimum, else the toxic gases will overcome us all.

Now, ah don't know how one can restore these rules and regulations, but it sure is fun obey'n em.
