I'll Soon Be Off For Bloomington!

Well, it's getting real close, now. Early this Saturday (6/17) morning I fly out of San Jose, CA, heading east to Chicago. I'll be doing a little touring in the midwest, but I'll be at Bloomington next Thursday morning to attend the first of 4 workshops that I'm enrolled in for that day. I plan to be at Bloomington for most of the 4 days through Sunday. If it gets too hot and dusty, though, I might pare down my schedule and time at the show.

On the Monday morning following the show I'll be flying east to Boston for two weeks and finally flying home on July 9. So, after tomorrow, I'll be "offline" for quite some time unless I find the time (and inclination) to "borrow" some time on someone else's terminal. I don't carry a lap top and probably never will since I don't want to get that addicted to the Web.

In any event, after tomorrow, I won't be able to provide much, if any, comment or assistance here. But, if all goes well, I should be back in 3 weeks, or so.

Joe and all-I guess we had better finalize a plan to meet or not at Bloomington.An informal gathering like last years at the NCRS booth would be alright with me.It seemed like it was 10 am Fri last year.Anyone else have suggestions? Lou

Our Bloomington Meeting Time - 10am Sat.

Gentlemen,

Last year we met at the NCRS booth on Saturday at 10 a.m. local time in Bloomington, and this year I suggest the same. That seemed to be a reasonable hour for all concerned.

Some had previously discussed dinner that evening, and if anyone has connections at the local restaurants, I believe that we'd be open for suggestions, especially if reservations could be made in advance.

Thanks to all those interested in meeting in person. I look forward to seeing you there.

10AM Saturday is fine with me. My wife, Pat, and I are arriving on Thursday. Dinner plans are tough, as we have several "pre arranged" affairs we have to attend which take care of 2 of the 3 night's we'll be there. Chuck

I'll do my best to be there, as well. At the moment, I don't have any plans yet for dinner that evening, so maybe we can decide at the morning meeting how many folks, if any, might want to get together for dinner. However, Friday night might be the best for a dinner get together and, if that's the case for others, we might want to set that up ahead.

stopo in and say hello to my good buds Ji & Bob, they run the Jim & Bob Show at Parts Express, lots 400-407. They said something about a purple section. I've mentione a few times of the excellent work these guys do, and the cars that they will be selling verifies that. They will be taking some mid year, including the black 67 coupe L-88 wanna be. Stop in, say Big Block George sent ya, an look over their merchandise, who knows, you may even like the Big Black Big Block or even the red mousy.

Nice guys to talk to, very very knowleageable. Your time will not be wasted.
