Well, we're in the final countdown; about one day left. Think the Corvettes will finish? How about the drivers, these aren't the same guys that kept running the cars off the courses and tearing them up, are they?

Man, I'm all sweaty!
Just came back into the pits after another hot lap. Final qualifying results are on speedvision.com. Corvettes are number two and three behind the fastest Viper, which barely cut a better time. The Corvettes have the speed and I think the driving team is solid, but their are five Vipers behind them. Man, that's six to two. Those could be tough odds when you consider that the Vipers have a well proven 24 hour package. Glad to see Mario well positioned in the Panoz, but the Audis are pretty awesome. Should be a great race. I don't think the Caddies have the speed to do much even if they last, but the the C5-Rs could give us a reason to break out the VSOP.

but it had an inline six with a one-barrel carb, not FI. Nah, maybe it was a Sebring Silver Biscayne. I dunno. My memory's not so good anymore.

Yup, I have about half a bottle of Remy-Martin left over from the millenium toast. I'll be ready. If they don't win/place/finish, well, I might have to toast Corvettes just being there!
