I believe 1956 through 1961 are wired the same. On my 1956 Powerglide the 3 wires connected to the NS relay are as follows (but I don’t know if it is actually korrect - however my old girl runs - where's Roy?
As the NS relay sits on the firewall -
Passengers Side terminal = Yellow to starter solenoid
Drivers Side terminal = Red to tranny
Lower terminal = Purple to Ign Switch
OK I like using pic's . Here the original #904 and some use or buy the #903 a car over-drive switch and modifie it .
Looking at the #904 =left side is yellow=right side is black or brown= bottom is purple on a 55 PG. Various suppliers use other colors and why ?? You decide ! But the left yellow goes to the starter=purple goes to the key=black goes to the trans. Safety switch as seen here.
No matter what the color you have this is how to wire the switch !!
Note /if your #903 ever gets stuck a (buzzing sound) while on a trip /if you drive your Corvette /carry a wire with you and by jumping the yellow wire going to the starter solenoid to the positive battery side the engine will crank over and start with the key ON.
Is this what your asking???
