    Hey Joe C 2?

    Joe
I have 2 GM box's with an exhaust tip's in it NOS
On the box GM 1#3974659 The other box GM 1#3974660
    left right
    Gr.3.705
    PIPE ASS'Y.
    Genuine General Motors Parts

On the part, It is stamped GM3974653 W

Does the "W" stand for Walker exhaust?
I have seen 3 set's of repos with no stamps/and are welded different.
Could you please tell me what you know on this.
    Thank you Joe

      Denny------

I'm away from home right now and I can't verify the numbers. Vaguely, I recall them to be the 70-72 tips. If they're "rectangularish", that's what they are.

Repros are slightly different than originals. However, I'm not sure that the ones you have are exactly the same as those used in PRODUCTION. It depends just how old they are. GM sold these for many years.

Folks have surmised that the "W" denotes Walker. I'd say it's a very good supposition, but I can't confirm it as fact.
