Once again I plan to attend Carlisle. Where in the area can I buy Yuengling beer. It is not available here in Maine and this is a chance to stock up. Last month in Lickdale, PA I was told that beer is only sold in state stores. If this is the case, where in Carlisle is this important store located. I plan to go there before the show so that I have some funds available for this very important lubricant.
take right out of gate 3, go 3/4 mile under PA turnpike, fiest bar on left sells beer OTC (max is one or two 6 paks or some such code - just means ya have to re-enter the place)
Don't know about the state stores
You must have taken that first exit after the bridge and ended up in NH which does have such state involvement
Do a search on "beer distributors" in the Carlisle area. I'm sure there will be one near the event. Liquor and wine are sold at "state stores" in PA. Beer can be bought from beer distributors.
My wife just reminded me, I never did the beer runs.
She says there is a drive thru store near the fair grounds.
Don't even have to leave yer vehicle according to her.

There is a PA beer distributor not too far from the fair grounds, but I can't tell you the name of it or the street. I "had" to make a liquid refreshment run, for the "other" guys a few year ago. As I remember it was about 1 or 2 miles south toward Carlisle.
In recent years Yuengling beer has become more widely available than just PA. My wife and I just returned from Lake Placid NY where we stocked-up at the local P&C store. If you're driving to Carlisle from Maine you can likely buy some at any NY state grocery as you pass through the state. I don't know about CT or MA, though.
Since we came across Yuengling in a bar at Harrisburg during a trip to Carlisle many years ago, we've become fans (addicts?). Yuengling even purchased a brewery out back of Busch Gardens in Tampa, FL and has a "souvenir" shop selling, signs, T-shirts etc.
Go straight out of gate three onto K Street, turn left on West Street then left on E High Street. The drive through beer store is down on the right and they sell 30 packs in PA Rob
