    C2 Wiper Arm Removal

Is the tool LIC sells one of the better ones to do the job?
And what is the best procedure to follow without harm to the paint?

    Greg,
I suggest that you stop by NAPA and check out their part number 2039. It may seem a little pricy, but it is excellent.

    Regards,
    Gene

Lisle and K-D Tools both make a wiper arm removal/install tool - about five bucks at any decent auto parts store.

        Greg...

If you are already planning an order from LIC you might as well add it. It is exactly like the one John posted a picture of.

Hey Greg, look in the archives for an excellent picture posted by John for the procedure. The hook on the tool lips over the outside edge of the arm 'housing' - the arm piece that slips over your post coming out of the vent. The tool handle is oriented above and parallel to the arm (on top). Carefully hold the hook in place so it won't slip and, with the other hand gripping the tool and wiper arm, gently bring them (handle and arm) together and lift. It should come right up without a hitch. John suggested putting masking tape on the tool handle to help from marring the top of your wiper arm - good idea. But look for the pict, I couldn't figure it until I saw it - visual learner! It's a much easier procedure than I was trying to make it out.
