I have seen this car, and it has a lot of the correct parts, battery location, access door, half shafts, rear end, tach, but the engine and radiator have been replaced. It has had a color change and some body work which includes a 66 hood and grill. The VIN #9037 makes it impossible for this car to be a real BB car. The owner is aware of this, but is still trying to flip it. He is a real flake. It would be a decent driver at half his asking price of $50k, but it is not true 396 car.

I sent this guy a message asking him not to call it a real 396 car. He claims an NCRS judge looked over the car and said that there were some early 396 cars as early as late January. He claims the supposed NCRS judge says it's real.

Ken, you have at lest pried the VIN # out of him (doesn't appear in his ad). In the current Corvette marketplace, the words "real" and "original" have little value.
