Is it the '73-'77 small blocks that have the oil dipstick with the little green plastic plug at the end of the pull loop? I know the early C3's had black plastic plugs, but I have no info on '73-'82's. Also, was that same dipstick used on '69-'70 Camaros? There's a dude on ebay that says it was, and I can't help but beg to differ, but I could be wrong...... he's starting his bid at $100.00 for his green-plugged dipstick. Just wondering if it's rare, 'cuz I got 4 of them LOL!!

Hi Jeremy,
My 74' camaro L-65 & 74' camaro L-82 both had the green tip oil dip-stick. Also my 75' vette L-48 has the green tip.

Yup....that's what I thought. I guessed it as a '73-'77 dipstick, 'cuz I think the '78's changed over to that crimped style or something. Thanks for the response!!Comment

Judging manual says green tipped is for big block 73-74, not small block.Comment
