I got a Free old water pump today.Could I get a year this goes too.Needs a rebuild

Guard it with your life. 61-63 Corvette. Very hard to find and well worth the rebuild.

Denny, Typically these 609 pumps are not dated or so guys think. Actually they are dated but on the inside. If it has slotted screws it is most likely the early 609 but if it has hex head bolts holding the sheet metal plate on it's 63.But that doesn't mean anything as the 609's are all about the same. Junkers are going for $175.00 and up. There are a lot of restored 63's out there that should have that pump. Easy to spot on the car without looking for the impossible to see numbers when you only have one minute or less to look at a pump when judging. THe configuration of the big boss sticking up for the bypass fitting is shaped alot different than the more common 326 pump. Worth keeping on the shelve for sure. John

Hex bolts /dated in side/ could be fun.
All ready talking to Bill Mock.
I got the thing for free/friend cleaning out the garage, take it.
And it is hitting the dates for my early 1963
That not all, Got the carb with the copper build tag also.That was not free but close.
How does that happen?
