We did Hot August Nights in Reno as we do each year, this year saw three 54's heavily modified , also many beautiful other C1 and C2's done the same way. I don't know about the East coast but out West it seems to be the thing now days. Each person I talked with said NCRS WHO!! They said NCRS Corvettes are only for looking at because they never drive them .

Re: Reno Hot August
Good to see the cars out and driven. I wonder how many of these modified cars are only driven a few miles to cruises once a month, and how many are more daily and weekly?- Top

Re: Reno Hot August
I cant begin to tell you how beautiful and fantastic this wagon looks and is built, All steel ,everything works even the tail gate like GM did, he copied the outside of it perfectly , This guy could make millions if he would make a kit. I would be the first to buy one.

Re: Reno Hot August
Every one I talked with drive them , they have all the up dated goodies , new C5 and even C6 engines , only the body is real and original looking and none are under 100K, it makes me wont one, but I'll still keep my old beater. I think that is the reason you now find so many parts for sale on e-bay for NCRS guys.- Top

Re: Reno Hot August
It makes sense that some of the parts off these resto-rods are being purchased by NCRS guys. I'm glad they're driven.- Top

Re: Reno Hot August "Stephen"
Think about it ,those guys wont all of todays luxury so they sell just an air cleaner wing NUT for $300.00 that NCRS guys will pay, add it up// the cost to them after using e-bay they get a new modernism Corvette . Hay original engines go for big $$ and all the little other original parts.- Top
