    Stupid Knock Off Question

Okay, so I took my repro knock off rims off the car to have it judged with the K-H rims.

Now ready to put the knock'offs back on for the dailey drivers with radials.

On the passenger side of the car does the knock-off spinner that threads on "right handed" go there - and

on the drivers side does the knock off spinner that threads "left handed" go there ?

I'm paranoid enough about these things coming loose, even with the safety pin after reading the many horror stories throughout the years on this thread.

What is confusing is the spinner that threads right handed says "LH" on the inside of the spinner and the left hand threading spinner says "RH" ( actually part of the casting of the spinner - a raised mold marking.

Logic tells me the right hand thread goes on the passenger side and vic versa.
    Is my logic correct ?

    thanks in advance.

On originals, cast RH (goes on pass side) but

.... has left hand thread. Has something to do with the inertia of the spinner tending to tighten on hard braking (safety) To heck with reverse effect (tendency to loosen) on rear wheel spinning acceleration, as accel. forces probably less than braking. JMO

Re: On originals, cast RH (goes on pass side) but

A trick that saved my bacon was to put a line on the hub and nut with a china marker and inspect the lines each time you get ready to drive the car. Afer rotating my tires I set the nuts with 5 good blows using a 2" long nylon rod to keep the lead hammer from maring the chrome. I drove the car and retorqued the nuts, put the marks on them and two days later before I drove the car I check them and one mark was off. Cheep easy and the china marker polishes off easily.
