Update on 70 Oil Pressure and Wiper Chatter

Well, with the help of this board I think I solved my low curb idle oil pressure and wiper chatter on my 70 SB, and I thought the info might prove useful to some.

Oil pressure - simply changed to 10W-40, and upped the idle from 700 rpm (which PV manual calls for) to 800 rpm (which my emissions sticker calls for). Curb idle oil pressure went from barely registering to a steady 17-20lbs.

Wiper chatter - I cleaned the windshield and inserts really well, and waxed the windshield because wax helped in the past. All this resulted in very little difference, as did trying to bend the arms to adjust blade angle.

But when I searched the archives further I saw where Jack Humphrey talked about adjusting the "cant" screw near the base of the arms which also alters the angle of the blades. I didn't even know this screw existed. Well, literally 2-3 turns of the screws on both arms and the wipers now work perfectly, dry or wet. While I'm sure the cleaning contributed, the cant screws were clearly the answer to my wiper problem.

These were remarkably simple solutions to maddening problems with dramatic results. I'm much obliged to everyone for their help.
