I am in process of fitting donor rear lower panel and right 1/4 panel on my 58. This corrects previous owner attempted repair which was just a bad attempt. His repair was done without the rear wheel filler panels. I have both repo rear wheel filler panels now but don't know exactly what the wheel side appearance should be. Suspect the trunk-side overlap has the usual adhesive "ooze" at the overlap areas. But, what does the wheel side overlap look like: clean overlap with no adhesive appearing or rough ooze or is the overlap blended out to look seamless? I have to believe that the very lower portion of the filler to lower panel is dressed out looking so that it looks one-piece? It is the upper area which concerns me the most.

Re: C1-58 Rear Filler Panels
Bill, I would happy to take a few pictures of the inside panel; however, I must say that may panels have been in and out several times and as a result will not be representative of a factory sealed panel. My baby is has an early B-day with fiberglass panels that may provide some insight into the overlap. That said, let me know if you would like to images.

Re: C1-58 Rear Filler Panels
Don, I have been in Fort Worth all week and just got back. Leaving for San Antonio next week so pictures would be great but don't break your neck. I really hate for you to take the effort to photo things. I was just trying to "guesstimate" what the inner well(on the rear wheel side) top appearance of the overlap area looks like. I just want to be close as I am not trying to build a judged car--just a fine restoration. Bill Texas- Top
