    C1 Dipstick

How long is the dipstick and the curved dipstick tube on a C1 - in this case a 1960 230 HP?
    Thanks in advance

    Rod -

The correct dipstick for that application is 19-3/16" from the seat to the "Full" mark, and 20" to the "Add" mark; the upper tube is curved, 8-21/32" long overall.

        John,

Would these specs also apply to a 57? When I change the oil and filter, and add five quarts, it is at the 'Add' line.

          Mike -

The dimensions I posted above are for '58-up. For a '57 (and late '56), it's 19-31/64" to the "Full" mark and 20-7/16" to the "Add" mark; upper tube is the same.
