Has anybody tryed the Allen's O.E.M. side pipes? Are they worth the extra cost?

I haven`t installed their "side pipes" but had a good experience with their conventional SS system on my C2. They have been around a long time and have a good reputation. I believe Mike Allen is the person I spoke with years ago when I ordered my system.

      Bill -

Allen's is really a broker for those, between the guy who owns them and the customer; the stock doesn't include all six permutations of part numbers (2" RH/LH small-block, 2-1/2" RH/LH small-block, and RH/LH big-block), so Allen's modifies some of them by adding whatever headpipe type is required before shipping them.

They're all genuine GM sidepipes (Service parts); the previous owner of the pipes bought the entire remaining warehouse stock from GM of Canada about 2-3 years ago.

Talked to Allens at Carlisle good people.I was lucky and found a O.E.M. right side one for my car. The right side rusted out, but the left seems to be OK?

The right side will always rust out first due to the action of the heat riser valve; if it's wired open, both sides will corrode equally.
