    ncrs show

I'm headed to my first ncrs chapter show this weekend, can we do some last minute cleaning after we park the car or do we park it and have to walk away, also where should the 2nd set of keys be?

Usually there is a "wash rack" where one can do cleaning on arrival. Once the car is placed on the show field cleaning is permitted until judging starts, but no repairs are supposed to be done on the show field at any time.

The logistics of this all depends on the situation at the specific location. For example, there may be no wash facilities at a given location because the host facility just doesn't have them. Your best bet is to contact the meet judging chairman -- usually listed on the registration papers -- and ask those questions. That person should be familiar with the logistics of the location and is in the best position to answer your questions.

Prior to the meet, you are allowed to do minor cleanup, assuming you drove the car in. For instance, many meets have a wash pit to clean up. I would recommend a wash and vacuum but I think you will find that the judges are tolerant of small amounts of grime that are the evidence of a driven Corvette. I drove 700+ miles to a regional and only car the exterior a wash and the interior a wipe down. No points lost for dirt

Second set of keys? Aren't you going to be in the background for your judging? If so, you hang on to the keys and when it is time, you simply hand them to the judge team.

Some years had a second set of keys in the owner's manual packet. In the case of the '69's they go in the enclosed compartment behind the passenger's seat. I can't recall on other years.
