Anyone in New Jersey had any experience in obtaining DMV records on your cars? Lenght of time that they keep records? Thanks, Mike

Mike, I tried 8 years ago.They would only go back 10 years.Had a friend of mine who is a cop in N.J. try and the 10 year rule still stood.He did mention to me the RIGHT people can go back further. Unfortunatley,I do not know any. LOU

Confirm the 10 year rule. Sent DMV a check for a search, had the check returned and informed of the 10 year rule. I imagine the previous records exist in some format but with HIPPA/privacy rules, coupled with twisted NJ bureacratic logic only uncle Vinnie has access.
