Item number 180151431817, looks like a SCAM to me as the other items this person is selling are in other parts of the country. Anybody know if this auction is real?

Re: 1953 on Ebay
I don't see any of the typical red flags. Most of the ebay scams are pretty obvious. Like listing a buy it now price well below actual value but not having a buy it now option with the listing, and requiring contact off ebay. One way to verify that the seller actually has posession of the car would be to ask the seller to provide a picture of the car with his seller ID written on a sheet of paper in the pic with the car. As far as the 4,300 original miles, I would be very skeptical of that claim and it would be up to the seller to provide documentation to substantiate the claim.- Top

I have posted three questions to this seller and have not heard a word. Maybe my mistake posting on this board as the price as risen significantly since (I realize that the price will increase 1 minute or less till the end of the auction, possibly I will still be the high bidder), but makes me wonder still if the auction is real. I guess if I am the high bidder, I would have to demand proof prior to my payment.- Top

If your the high bidder you own that car, better ask all questions up front and hope his buddies aren't trying to bid up to your max! And for that kind of money you better get on a plane and check it out in person or at least send someone to inspect it.
