    LS--5 Intake Manifold Question

I'll be shopping for a 1970 LS-5 intake manifold at Carlisle this weekend. The NCRS Technical Information Manual lists two part numbers for this year. They are 3955287 and 3969802. Does anyone know what the difference is? Thanks.

I'm not sure that the 3969802 was ever actually used. The only one I've ever seen on 1970 LS-5 is the 3955287. This is a cast iron, low rise manifold for spread bore carbs (i.e. Q-Jet) and oval ports.

Tom I have never seen the 802. Always see the 287 manifold. But then again never say always. Just find either with a casting date that works for your car and you will be OK
