    Brake Light Switch?

    Hi all,

I have removed my non-working(I think) brake light switch from 64 and I was wondering if there is a easy way to bench test this switch for definite answer. I remember my brake lights working at one time but my car has been shop bound for sometime and I am now just putting everything back together. Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,

    Craig W.

You can use an ohm meter to see if the switch is good.

With the plunger depressed all the way (as it is with the pedal in the "up" position), the switch is open; when the plunger is released all the way (as it is with the pedal depressed), the switch is closed.
