    1957 Courtesy Lights

Do 57 Corvettes equipped with courtesy lights use the same headlight switch as non courtesy light equipped cars? I believe they use the same switch but have been told by a few people that they are different.
The assembly manual shows a white wire and an orange wire connecting to the headlight switch but they don't explain where these wires originate. Do they come from the main harness or are they seperate?
Finally how is the lamp reflector finished? Chrome or white paint? I'm referring to the piece that the bezal and lens snaps over. I've had different opinions on this as well.
Any help would be appreciated, Thanks in advance. Rich #2262

    Re: 1957 Courtesy Lights

Rich, per the AIM RPO421 sheet 1 the orange wire the wire from the courtesy light switch connects to the terminal above the "S" on the light switch. There's only one part no. listed for the '57 light switch. Hope this helps. Gary....

Re: 1957 Courtesy Lights - reflector metal finish?

All the one's I've seen apart were rusty. They could have been chrome, CAD or natural finish. Sorry, can't be more definitive. Hopefully, someone else can help on this. Gary....

Thanks for your help Gary. I recall hearing that the reflectors were painted a semi flat white. Mine are chrome and are painted over white with rust. Rich
