C2 Knockoffs

Should there be any wording on the spinner of the 65-66 knockoff, (the visible side not the back.) I've seen some with the word OFF and an arrow engraved on the perimeter of the spinner and some without any wording. The JM doesn't mention it. Can someone please tell me what is correct. Thanks.

Bob -- I checked my '65 TIM&JG and was also surprised that this is not mentioned. Anyway, here's 2 spinners from a set of original unrestored 1966 spinners (Feb car) showing both a LH thread (top) and RH thread (bottom). As you can see, the stamping was not always bang-on.

Note my anti-loosen feature (felt pen index marker)

Thanks for the great picture Wayne. Do you have a guess as to whether all the spinners had this stamping, or did some get it and some didn't. Thanks again.

No Guess needed, all originals had it, some have been lost in replating.
