Yes - they're very delicate, and won't tolerate much handling while being installed and routed without creating "opens"; at least they were a couple of years ago. At one point, we had to buy three complete sets to get eight good wires preparing a '65 L-79 with A/C for the Orlando Regional. It was not fun changing passenger side wires under the compressor on that car the night before the meet to get all eight cylinders to fire. The Delco #508N set is a better bet for reliability.

I agree with John's assessment. I had Lectric Limited repro wires and couldn't find an irritating miss. I finally bought a set of Delco 508Ns and my miss went away. I may purchase another set of repros only for limited use on the judging field.

      John,
how did you find wires that were defective? Ohm meter?

        Yes,,,

our shop has had a NUMBER of bad experiences over the years with LL products. Some harness assy's being mis-wired, some missing this/that branch circuit altogether, others with wire leads improperly prepped allowing bare copper to be exposed and potentially short to adjacent metal ground surfaces.

We much prefer M&H Fabricator's harness products, but LL does a LOT more end user, rifle-shot, advertizing to Corvette owners while M&H primarily relies on its stocking distributors to carry the word to end users and therefore isn't as well known...

i have delt in person with m&h as they are about an hour away, they will sell a single connector or entire harness---they do mopars and possibly other cars---they are very tech oriented abd are happy to walk you through your installation---the tech person is very smart on ti systems or msd mods to add to a ti system---long story short, away too much info on the many mods one could make to an ignition system

Also no fun with a LS-5 with C60.

              Gary -

We ohmed all of them OK out of the box, but that didn't help much; several went open during (careful) installation; they don't tolerate much handling. Pertronix now makes a set of black spiral-core 7mm wires pre-cut to Corvette lengths that work great - their #708101.
