At Carlisle I had a conversation with someone regarding a differential pinion flange that was questionable as to application since the only part number on it had been written on with a felt pen. If that person is on the board please respond to this post and I may have some further information.

Re: Pinion Flange Question (From Carlisle)
Paul-----
Yes, I held that position on a part-time basis from about 1963 until about 1965. That was my last employment in the automotive field.
I responded to your e-mail regarding the flange. In brief, the part number which was written on the flange, GM #360913, is not the part number for ANY pinion flange. It's the part number for a half-shaft u-joint flange used from about 1975 to 1979 and SERVICE for 63-74.
My guess is that the flange is a GM #3879208, used for 68-70 Corvettes with THM400 and most 71-79 Corvettes as well as many other Chevrolet applications, too.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
