I was looking for some advice on repairing my 63 rocker panels. I looked into getting reproduction panels but have been told they don't fit well. I'd like to get rid of the sand blasted look the leading edge gets and the minor scratches from passengers shoes. Is there a vendor that refinishes the old ones?

Bob,Andy Cannizzo was telling me recently that he thinks he is going to attempt to restore the 63 rocker panels. He refinishes a lot of the other aluminum pieces on the car. andy3651@aol.com
Be careful buying NOS ones as most of the ones I see are just over the counter replacements. They are typically too short and the configuration of the ends is not correct. Been there for sure. I have a NOS short one on my show car that is the pits. I mean the thing is at least 1/2 to 5/8" too short. Got dinged on it twice now. But it's gonna be history shortly. John
