'65 L78 valve cover bolts

Does anyone know when 7/16" valve cover bolts with an L5 head mark began being used for BB cars?

Hi Tony --- Of the 14 total BB valve cover bolts, my late car (off the line a few days after yours) has 8 with headmark "L5"; five with headmark 'A", and one with only the 3 radial lines (nothing in the center). None are of the recessed head design.

To my surprise, the '65 TIM&JG (5th ed.) calls for 'typically "RBW" headmark' and for recessed heads.

I'm curious to know, as well.

Wayne. All but one of my valve cover bolts are L5. The lone wolf is an RBW headmark. None have recessed heads. Let's keep an eye on the responses. I'm curious.
